| Description | Let's say you sell 501 jeans as one article, sizes (W31-L28) are different variants. You want to set up an article filter now over your "jeans"-category. Alright: Assign the category to the attribute "size" and enter different sizes for that attribute assigning the attribute "size" to your variants. Although every assignment is possible, the attributes will not appear in your filter in category view. | ||||

Currently variant attribute values are ignored by categoty atribute filters (because only parent articles are shown there), but we are searching for a good solution of this problem. |

As this touches the handling of variant-article in total (see bug 0000942), need to discuss about proper solution for entire system. Thus - it is postponed until the decision will be taken. |
