Summary | 0007607: It's not easy to add shipping cost rules to offers
Description | In case an offer is created, it's very likely that the customer can't checkout the offer, because there aren't fitting shipping cost rules. Shipping cost rules are often configured to react to categories. An offer doesn't have a category, nor it's configurable within the B2B Offer menu.
Steps To Reproduce | 1. Install EE 7. 2. Install B2B 7. 3. Create an offer. 4. Search for "Basis Angebotsartikel" in the administration area (Administer Products -> Products) You're not going to find it (because it does not exist, yet). 5. Log in as the customer, which got the offer and try to order the offered product. It's not possible, because there aren't fitting shipping cost rules. 6. Create fitting shipping cost rules, which of course, have to suitable for all products at once. That's the only way to order the first offer. 7. Order the offered product. 8. Delete the created shipping cost rule, because you don't want one shipping cost rule set for all products at once. Please note: The parent product Basis Angebotsartikel does only exist, once an offer was put into the basket for the very first time. After that, the product Basis Angebotsartikel exists and is used as a parent product for all offers created afterwards, which are themselves variants of the Basis Angebotsartikel.
Additional Information | Workaround 1. Ask the customer to put the offer into the basket 2. That action has created a variant of the offer for the product "Basis Angebotsartikel". 3. Activate the checkbox "Display Variants in Assignment Lists in eShop admin" (Master Settings -> Core Settings -> System -> Variants). 4. Now, you can assign the offer to a shipping cost rule.
