The described behavior could not be reproduced on a reference installation with the PayPal Plus module activated. Only on pages where external content has to be loaded (e.g. in step 3 payment) the runtime has increased from 402ms to 1609ms with PPP activated. Tested with PayPal Plus Version 3.0.2.
