| Description | Admin -> Administer Products -> Products -> Main Try to delete the "tags" entry, save. Tags will be filled with "Search Terms" automatically, no way to delete them. Inserting another term into the tags, saving works fine. Tags and Terms are completely different thingies and shall be treaded independently from each other. | ||||
| Additional Information | The Tags field should be handled this way: - If NEW product is inserted and Tags field is not full-filled, then insert the values to Tags from Search Terms. - If Tags are deleted for already existing product - leave the field empty (do not put Search Terms to this field). | ||||

The idea behin this feature was that search keys as tags are better than empty tags. Isn't it correct? |

Best way to solve this would be such behavior: Do not insert tag automatically. In case if (new|changed) article is submited with empty tag record, display the warning: There are no tags, do you want to fill them automatically? If yes - fullfill it automatically. Also additional option: "Remember my choice and don’t ask me anymore" would be good. As this needs some additional functionality, the entry is closed here and moved to customers whishlist for further consideration. Entry here is closed. |
