Summary0007690: Basic Auth will be deactivated by Microsoft, OAuth2 needed.
DescriptionSMTP Auth needs to be better implemented, so Auth on Microsoft E-Mail Server is easily done per OAuth2.

That also explains why this was not reported earlier as the last 2 links above suggested. From that this deactivation should have happened 2 years ago.
The new date seems to be September 2025
