| Description | At the moment there is now way to enable or disable the initialization of the vendor tree via admin backend. This option should be below the manufacturer tree option. Although this option is disabled per default (right?) this part could lead to serious performance impact if the vendor table is big and this option is enabled. | ||||

Sorry this is duplicate of https://bugs.oxid-esales.com/view.php?id=0003385 and can be closed. So vendor tree initialisation will be removed completely? |

We removed the vendor tree as we didn't saw much sense in this feature. But we left the structure of this functionality, in case if somebody uses the feature for own purposes. In bug entry 0003385 is written comment what you can do ti fully disable that feature so vendor tree would not be loaded at all (that's related only to shops which updated from previous versions). In fresh installs this config option is switched OFF already. |
