Summary	0002577: Complete category list is loaded in filter select box
Description	This is about the list filter in Admin / Article management / Categories We have >3000 product categories. The select box is huge, barely usable due to its size and takes ages to load.
Additional Information	Suggestion: Make the select box into a div that uses a javascript tree widget which loads the top-level categories only and lazily loads sub-categories if the parent is opened.

olav 2011-03-02 13:40 reporter ~0004165	A similar select box with all categories is shown above the article list at Admin / Article management / Articles. This huge list makes product management through the admin interface very unpleasant due to the long loading times.

mark 2013-04-17 13:28 reporter ~0008620	I can confirm this - it's nearly impossible to choose the right category if you have many of them. A suggest box with more information would be nice (active/inactive, oxid, path)
