Summary0000203: problems if core/performance settings are updated not via admin
Descriptionif some of core or performance settings (like top menu navigation or selection lists) are updated not via admin interface (but directly into database), it does not have any effect in shop frontend. even if cookies and tmp is cleared. but via admin interface, those options looks like it was correctly set up. also if admin is opened after such settings updates and button save is pressed (without any changes), previously set options takes effect in shop frontend. Looks like this is only EE shop problem, which appeared aprox 1 week before PE beta release. This problem also causes the fails of automatic tests.

This is not really a bug, but this issue prevented selenium text from executing correctly. Solved by suggesting for tester to use another way of updating config vars directly to db.
