Like bespoken yesterday, I requested once again in the forum thread when exactly the problem came up. User commented that the weight was inherited from father to variant product before version 4.3.1. Now it doesn't work any longer. |

Its true, that variants inherit some information from father product, but it is only for string fields, like short description, search keywords and such (for variant products those fields should be left empty). for integer fields (like weight, size etc) this functionality was not implemented. possibility to inherit weight and similar info from parent product would be feature request. |

I extended a long existing feature request: http://oxid.uservoice.com/forums/31940-feature-requests/suggestions/362807-price-per-unit-shall-be-inherited Dependent of the business model, it might be useful to inherit certain fields or not. No bug. |
