| Description | One of our customers upgraded to CE 4.1.5 recently. They used to have PE 3.0.4.0. Within main 2000 products they have approx 7000 variants of products they sell. The new shop (4.x) does not support searching of variants. This has been even reproduced on the main oxid esales demo shop installation. How can this be solved, as the customer is very very unhappy about this defect? | ||||

Reminder sent to: bitconstructor Hi, As far as I remember, search for variants was not implemented in any OXID eShop version. Displaying only the variant articles in the list (in case if such search would work) - is also not implemented, but would be a good feature request to http://oxid.uservoice.com. If you had such search for variants in previous version eShop, probably it was possible due to some additional module installed into shop. Please check this and confirm if this is the case. If you had no modules installed, please write in more details where this search for variants worked: in frontend search (by article number, title?)? in Admin->Products? or some other place (during assignment to some items, like categories)? Reminder sent to: bitconstructor To be sure, I checked search in eShop versions PE 3.0.4.0 and PE 3.0.4.0 - and there is no search for variants. So only possibility is that in your previous shop there was some custom module installed to have such search. For now I see there is such feature request recorded in oxid.uservoice.com: http://oxid.uservoice.com/pages/31940-feature-requests/suggestions/411028 Entry is closed, as this is not a bug.
