| Description | In Product SEO tab you can enter meta description or keywords for category, vendor, manufacturer and tag seo urls. If you open product using e.g. tag url meta data will taken from category url. So either meta data fields for vendors, manufacturers and tags should not be editable (in case we implement canonical urls) or meta data should be taken according active seo url type (if we came by tag url - tag meta data should be used). | ||||

The issue will gone, when canonical urls will be implemented in the shop (most likely - in some Major version release). So until then the case is suspended. |

Probably there are users who entered custom meta data not only for main category, but even for vendor, manufacturer or tag urls. I did not disable possibility to enter and manage this info (because it can harm for custom solutions etc). I only fixed the problem with meta data selection. In <= 4.2.0 version if you enter meta data for vendor, manufacturer, tag or category url - when opening product X page meta info is selected from table according table index order (may use tag, manufacturer, category or vendor url meta data). This problem will be gone now. |
