Summary | 0000905: In meta tags umlauts are converted
Description | Hi, if I use in the metatags of the products diacritics, then they are converted in the website outpu. For example I write in the admin area -> products -> seo -> keywords for meta tags / Description text for meta tags the word "Laufräder" is converted in the html output to Laufräder. Maybe a bug. I dont know. best regards Jan

Reminder sent to: knarzer77 This is not a bug - modern search engines understands html entities correctly. By converting data to html entities we ensure that your defined data will be correctly generated for output and correctly processed by systems. Can you give arguments why is it bad and why should we change it? |
|
so we discussed internally and decided to replace htmlentities to htmlspecialchars |
