Summary | 0002747: Option 'Don't display most Navigation Elements during Checkout' missing in Azure
Description | Report 0002605 states, this option was moved to the basic-theme. You hid the navigationelements during checkout for a good reason, so why dont you do it in the Azure Theme anymore? It seems to me that the option should be moved back to where it was and instead the functionality needs to be added to the azure theme! Please make this option general for both the themes (return this back to where it was in before, currently it's only in Basic theme settings). When this option is ON, then in Azure theme the Category menu and search bar should be hidden.

Reminder sent to: tjungcl Hi, Sorry for slow reaction. I took a look to the basket in Azure theme - but there is not much to hide even in current status. Maybe just the top category menu can be hidden, but it's would not make big effect (in my opinion). And in Azure there are no more redundant object, like newsletters, small basket, promotions shown, etc., which can be hidden. - What is your suggestion to hide in Azure? |
|
you often read, that in the checkout process as many diversions as possible should be eliminated, so no search, no category-navigation, no (redundant) breadcrumb, no basket-buttons (you are in the basket already), no language-currency-swappers (which are very unlikely to be used to late in the shopping-process anyways). Of course there a other opinions - so, the option in basic theme was very usefull. |
|
I agree with tjungcl - an option for removing marked elements in the attached file would be fine. |

After some internal discussions we decided to introduce back this option, that it would affect also Azure theme. But some elements from the screenshot we still see as more-less useful for customer, so we agreed to hide only Category menu and the search bar in Azure theme. |
