| Description | If user registers in the shop with the same country, which is defined for shop (home country) - the VAT ID number is not sent to service for verification at all. I.e. if in German shop user registers with country=Germany, the VAT ID is not checked. Some time earlier such was a requirement for this service, and in case if both countries matched - it returned the error. But now there is no such restriction and even when country matches - the VAT ID can be checked. Please check the requirements for this service, and if there is no such restriction - then fix this case, so VAT ID also would be checked even in user is from Home country. As a solution - the “isForeignCountry” check can be removed. | ||||

According to laws - the VAT=0% is not allowed for home country customers. Means - if shop and customer also are from Germany, he cannot buy products with VAT=0%. So the check fo VAT ID for home country customers is not needed. Just please check - if this check for home country is correct (checks for home country of the shop, not for particular country, like i.e. German). |
