Summary | 0000476: mod_rewrite not working after clean install on windows
Description | I've performed clean install including demo data on apache 2.2/ winxp. Install hinted that mod_rewrite was not active. I've activated and restarted apache. Installer no longer complained. However, after install, rewrite urls are still not working, visible in both browser and apache log file: [Mon Dec 29 13:12:55 2008] [error] [client 127.0.0.1] File does not exist: D:/htdocs/oxid/Geschenke, referer: http://localhost/oxid/ Wondering if there is another setting I'm missing and that might/should be checked by oxid installer.

Reminder sent to: andig Hi, I cannot reproduce such case localy. For me url rewrites works correctly in such case. Possible problem may be in apache configs that it not allows for .htaccess files to override the settings. In such case .htaccess file in root eshop dir would be inactive, when it's needed for proper shop work. Please check if this is not the case. Best regards. |

Problem might be in apache configs, that it now allows for .htaccess files to override apache settings. Please investigate if it is possible to check for such case during the system requirements check. If possible - implement it and display "missing requirement" if such restriction is active in apache configs. |
